1993 60 minutes' anniversary special celebrates its run as a number-one show

Well, this is the clip episode to end all clip episodes.

Because 60 Minutes is not your run-of-the-mill show, the 1993 episode titled 25 Years of 60 Minutes delivered a unique retrospective format. It offered clips from previous shows, yes, but it also took the time to catch up with some of the people from those clips to see how things have changed for better for for worse in the years since.

It also offered profiles of the reporters, both past and present, which was not as self-applauding as it sounds; it was a very interesting look at how the crew each brought different skillsets to their interviews.

This will be the final year as the top ratings earner for 60 Minutes, though of course it continues on TV and hopefully does so until the very end of TV as we know it.
